Importing plot subpackage takes too long

from ecephys import plot takes 45 seconds. Would be nice to figure out why, and use some conditional imports to alleviate this if possible.

can't replicate..

It takes ~15sec for me, same time as eg from ecephys import sglxr or import ecephys (from a new session)

but I find that the overall import time is very variable for some reason

Hmm. I get ~45s in multiple environments. Well, if I have time I'll try to narrow down what's causing the weirdness.
