Install

  • Claude desktop app: download monkeybread-mbs-plugin.skill below and double-click it.
  • Claude.ai or Claude Desktop → Customize → Skills → upload: upload monkeybread-mbs-plugin.zip below.
  • Claude Code / Cowork: install monkeybread-mbs-plugin from the cadenceux plugin marketplace (see the README).

The versioned files (monkeybread-mbs-plugin-v2.0.0.skill / .zip) are the same skill. Don't install Source code (zip): it's a snapshot of the repository, not a packaged skill.

Rebuilt for the Claris Agentic Development Toolkit (ADT) and Anthropic's skill authoring best
practices, using cadenceux-skill-creator 2.0.0, against MBS Plugin 16.4.

Changed

  • Catalog rebuilt from a fresh live crawl for MBS Plugin 16.4 (released 22 September 2026):
    7,859 functions across 245 components (up from 7,807), 400 deprecated (up from 396), status
    free 2,586 / licensed 4,698 / unknown 575. No prerelease functions. The site's index.md
    counter reads 7,971; the residual is not linked from any listing page, as before.
  • Clipboard XML removed. Every example is now a label plus readable script (rendered
    from the vendor's snippet by maintainer/render_script.py); the text_code / xml_code pair
    is gone, and fmxmlsnippet blocks the parser had swept into 272 function descriptions are
    stripped. With ADT, scripts go into the file directly.
  • Descriptions cleaned. On 859 pages the parser had run the examples, see-also list, release
    notes, blog titles and page footer into description; each is now cut at the first of those
    sections (trim_description in the build). With the XML gone, the catalog shrinks from 23 MB
    to 13 MB.
  • No add-on prices. DynaPDF, XL and Saxon add-on text names the licence and sends users to
    Monkeybread for pricing, so the skill can't quote stale figures.
  • Frontmatter to the CadenceUX standard (third-person description with "Use when" and "Not
    for", no counts, license, compatibility, metadata.author); .claude-plugin/plugin.json
    added. Counts now live only in references/index.json.
  • Build tools moved to maintainer/ with a README; build_catalog.py reads the skill
    version from VERSION and uses the renderer. The SKILL.md body drops the regeneration detail.
  • Evals rewritten with must / must_not and near-misses; the stale 16.3 prerelease case is
    replaced by add-on and no-XML cases.

Verified

  • The integrated build (cached pages, renderer in the pipeline) produced function entries
    identical to the hand-processed catalog for all 7,859 functions.
  • Evals on Haiku, Sonnet and Opus: 5/5 each (evals/results-2026-10-11.md).
  • Release notes page reports 16.4 as the latest version (checked 2026-10-11).
