Aegis Wing XBLA PC Recomp v0.9.1

A bug-fix update for Aegis Wing XBLA PC Recomp. If you have v0.9.0, run Setup Aegis Wing.exe from this version over your existing folder: your saves, settings and high scores are kept.

You need your own copy of Aegis Wing. This download contains no original game executable, graphics, sound, music or other game data. Setup reads your own Xbox 360 Aegis Wing package (Title ID 5841083C) and builds the game from it on your PC.

Fixed

• Exit Game no longer leaves the game running in the background. In v0.9.0, choosing Exit Game closed the window but left a hidden copy running, which blocked the next launch (it started to a black screen). If you hit this, restart Windows or end "Aegis Wing" in Task Manager, then update.
• The mouse now works on the Game Over menu. You can point at Continue, High Scores and Main Menu and click, instead of using only the scroll wheel.
• High scores now use your player name from Settings instead of "User". Scores saved before this update keep their old name.

Install

1. Extract Aegis-Wing-XBLA-Recomp-v0.9.1.zip to a writable folder (not Program Files).
2. Run Setup Aegis Wing.exe and choose your Aegis Wing package.
3. Choose Install game, pick any extras, then Play now. Later, start Game\Aegis Wing.exe.

Requires Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and a DirectX 12 graphics card. Setup and the game are not digitally signed, so Windows may warn the first time: choose More info → Run anyway.
