This release encompasses the following changes:

  • Added a small set of examples
  • Significantly improved the syntax highlighter
  • Now works on 10" tablets and tablets running Honeycomb

Please note that some of the examples may not work properly as they have been scaled up, especially on higher screen densities. The "Yellowtail" example is currently broken due to issue #1. This is a top priority, and should (hopefully) be fixed soon.

If APDE takes a little bit longer to load than usual (only the first launch), then this is because the examples have been updated and the editor needs to extract the files from the APK file.

The new syntax highlighter resolves many issues that were found in the previous one; however, it is also slightly slower. You can disable it from the Settings menu if you find it too slow for your needs. It will continue to be optimized in the future.
