FastClip v0.1.0 Alpha
FastClip v0.1.0 Alpha is the first packaged Windows build of FastClip.
FastClip analyzes long videos locally, proposes ranked vertical clip candidates, and exports 1080x1920 MP4 clips using bundled FFmpeg. Pro licensing is enabled through Lemon Squeezy.
This is an early alpha build. Expect rough edges. Do not use it as your only copy of important media.

Important Alpha Notes
This build is unsigned. Windows SmartScreen may show an "Unknown publisher" warning. If you trust this download source, choose More info -> Run anyway. If that warning is a blocker for you, do not run this build.
FastClip runs locally. Source media stays on your machine and is not uploaded.
Official artifacts include a pinned LGPL-compatible FFmpeg runtime. Whisper model files are not bundled.
Free and Pro
FastClip Free exports up to 3 clips per project.
FastClip Pro activation is available in the app with a Lemon Squeezy license key. Successful activation persists across restart until deactivated.
Pro unlocks workflow features only. It does not change FFmpeg behavior, encoding quality, privacy behavior, or cloud usage.
Known Alpha Limitations
- Candidate scoring is still early.
- Crop defaults are center-based unless manually adjusted.
- Whisper captions are optional and local-only.
- Large exports can be CPU-heavy even when hardware H.264 encoding is available.
- The Windows build is currently unsigned.
Validation
This release candidate was validated with:
- Frontend production build
- Desktop test suite
- Tauri production build
- Licensing unit tests
- Export smoke using a real test video
- FFprobe verification of exported MP4 as H.264, 1080x1920
- Fresh ZIP extraction and launch with the Vite dev server off
Do Not Use Older Artifacts
Any previous FastClip-0.1.0-win-x64.zip built before the Tauri packaging fix is obsolete and should not be published.
