Rituals Not Rolls 1.2.1
Fixed
- Knowledge Book gathering now pulls matching pages from Bundled Not Siloed storage and other inventories exposed through NeoForge item handlers.
Rituals Not Rolls 1.2
Added
- Sable and Create Aeronautics support for enchanting setups assembled onto a sub-level. Table capture, menus, library transfers, and ritual particles follow the vessel as it moves and rotates.
Rituals Not Rolls 1.1.3
Changed
- Gave vanilla and supported mod enchantments a broader set of themed particles, including blade slashes, pressure rings, web fragments, bubbles, leaves and healing hearts.
- Kept enchanting particles bright in dim libraries, sized large native effects for ritual trails, and stabilized leaf animations during long rituals.
Rituals Not Rolls 1.1.2
Changed
- Replaced rune particles in all bundled enchantment presets with colored end-rod sparks for visibility. Book placement and retrieval keep their existing particles.
Rituals Not Rolls 1.1.1
1.1.1 — 2026-09-12
Added
- An enchanting-table guide with eight real, enlargable Minecraft screenshots and continuously scrolling chapters.
- Held-item filtering for the enchantment list, with full browsing for empty hands and non-enchantable items.
- Concise enchantment descriptions using Enchantment Descriptions language keys. Descriptions are white; enchantment and curse names default to client-configurable gold and red.
- Configurable diminishing-return equations for consumed duplicate materials and high item enchantability.
- Item-break particles when consumed ritual offerings are taken.
- Animated shelf-book retrieval by shift-clicking an enchantment. Loose shelf pages are retrieved one at a time.
- Magical filing for pages and Knowledge Books thrown onto the table. Pages enter matching books that lack the discovery; books enter random empty chiseled bookshelf slots.
- Enchanted-book crafting into a random configured page, retaining other enchantments on a returned book.
- Optional JEI, EMI and REI Uses-key views for book-to-page conversion and page-plus-three-leather binding.
Changed
- Consumption defaults to 1.5× power. Duplicate consumed copies use
1 / sqrt(n)by default. - Ritual rules now live in the server config instead of
rules.json. - All multi-level vanilla enchantment definitions reach level X with increasing costs. Existing sources, material powers and thresholds are preserved.
- Configured enchanted books convert to pages in all loot-table contexts and non-player world drops, including mobs, fishing, trial spawners and vaults.
- Knowledge pages and books stay hidden from recipe-viewer item lists.
- The filtered library header shows the held item without an explanatory hover tooltip.
Fixed
- Zero current material power no longer shows an effective-power label.
- Table searches and guide scroll positions survive GUI resizing.
- Page and book animations target the correct left/right bookshelf slots in every orientation.
Rituals Not Rolls 1.0
Rituals Not Rolls 1.0 for Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.244+, and Java 21.
The first stable release brings the completed ritual-enchanting system to GitHub. Earlier development builds are recorded as 0.x.x in the version history.
- Discover material-affinity knowledge pages, build a bookshelf library, and enchant dropped items through physical pedestal chains.
- Combine consumption, experience, and subtraction catalysts with placement bonuses and configurable enchantment data.
- Follow continuous magical trails into layered rings, with synchronized completion and noisy, scattering failure effects.
- Use built-in vanilla and optional-mod definitions, supported foreign pedestals, and documented datapack/resource-pack customization.
Install ritualsnotrolls-1.0.jar in mods on both client and server. Remove any older Rituals Not Rolls JAR. No additional mods are required.
The release includes the mod JAR, full source archive, optional example packs, and SHA256SUMS.txt. Build, 59 unit tests, and all 119 required GameTests pass. Gameplay classes and assets match the completed development build exactly.
