AoE4 Spotify 1.1.0
A full rewrite in Rust. Same look, same settings, much lighter and faster.
What's new
- Faster and smaller. The panel opens in about 50 ms. The installer is under 8 MB.
- Almost nothing runs in the background. Only the copy that Steam starts with the game does any work, and it closes when the game closes. The settings panel does nothing while it's idle.
- Finish song first (cog menu). When a change is due and the current song has 60 s or less left, it plays out before the switch. Otherwise the change happens right away.
- Music in replays (cog menu). Choose whether replays get music or leave Spotify alone.
- Age intros fixed in matches. The age's intro plays first, then the age playlist. Pausing holds the playlist, skipping moves on, and your repeat setting is put back afterwards.
- Smoother fades. Fades use Spotify's Windows app volume (local, 60 fps). If a fade is interrupted, the volume is restored the next time the app starts.
- Fixed a panel redraw glitch after minimize/restore.

Upgrading
1.0.9 updates itself automatically. You can also run the installer over your current install. Your settings, playlists, intros, Spotify login and Steam launch option are kept.
Windows may show a SmartScreen warning, as before. Click "More info" → "Run anyway".
