Custom 5e Tools v1.0.3

A Foundry VTT module for dnd5e that adds configurable custom tool proficiencies to character sheets.

What’s Included

  • World settings for comma-separated custom tools in five groups:
    • Artisan's Tools
    • Gaming Sets
    • Musical Instruments
    • Vehicles
    • Other Tools
  • Custom tools are selectable in dnd5e tool proficiency configuration.
  • “Other Tools (Custom)” now merges into dnd5e’s existing Other section.
  • Automatic repair pass for malformed custom tool entries from earlier versions.
  • Safer custom key generation and synthetic internal references for compatibility.

  • Foundry VTT: v13
  • dnd5e system: v4.0.0+

Notes

  • v1 intentionally does not add NPC-specific tool selection UI.
  • If updating from an older local build, open Configure Settings and click Save Changes once to trigger re-apply/repair.
