What's Fixed

Crash Prevention (Phase 1)

• Event loop now total — No more fatal errors crashing the app. All handlers catch errors gracefully.
• Timeout formula fixed — Was forcing 60s minimum wait. Now scales with audio length (1-sec recording → 5s wait).
• Cancel operations safe — No longer crash if STT worker is unresponsive.

Word Accuracy (Phase 2)

• URL corruption prevented — Learned words skip URL-containing text. Your LinkedIn/GitHub shortcuts won't corrupt.
• Dictionary applied once — Was being applied twice, now corrected.
• Unsafe punctuation removed — "comma", "colon", "semicolon" no longer unconditionally replace themselves.
• Developer mode respects context — Only triggers in actual dev windows, not on random keyword mentions.

Performance (Phase 4)

• Live preview 27× faster — collapse_live_duplicate went from O(n³) to bounded search. 1383ms → 50ms for 300 words.
• Models stay warm — Background keep-alive thread pings Ollama every 2 minutes. No cold starts after idle.

Audio Quality (Phase 3)

• Anti-aliased resampling — Rubato band-limited sinc resampling eliminates aliasing. 48kHz→16kHz conversion is clean.

Usability

• Real-time metrics — See words/second after dictation (e.g., "150 words in 30.5s (4.9 wps)").
• Actionable error messages — "Microphone in use by another app?" instead of generic failures.
• Settings generator — Interactive config tool for hotkeys and device selection.

Installation

Replace your Parrot executable with the release build:
