Pellet Burner Monitor using MySensors and OpenHAB

This project monitors a Pellet Burner using Arduino with MySensors, MQTT and OpenHab. Alarms are sent to smartphones or PC's using Pushover. In the OpenHAB control panel, it is possible to see the Pellet Burner status, and if any alarms are present. Furthermore, the last startup time and run time of the pellet burner is shown. OpenHAB shows a graphical representation of the run state as well.

The project aims at an non-invasive approach to monitor of the pellet burner control panel. I use photoresistors in a 3D printed fixture, mounted in front the pellet burner control panel, to monitor the state of the LEDs. The burner control panel has a dedicated alarm output, that is used.
