ToWork v1.0.1 ๐
The "I Actually Added The Features I Promised" Release
Welcome to ToWork v1.0.1! Remember when I said "Future versions might include" an edit command and JSON serialization? Well, turns out the future was closer than expected (and my procrastination had limits).
๐ What's New in v1.0.1
- Edit Command - Finally! No more deleting and re-adding tasks when you realize "lern speling" needs fixing
- JSON Serialization - Your tasks are now stored in proper JSON format (because even todo apps deserve structured data)
โจ Core Features
- Add Tasks - Because that mountain of responsibilities won't organize itself
- Remove Tasks - For when you realize "learn quantum physics" was a bit ambitious
- Mark Complete - Experience that sweet, sweet dopamine hit of achievement
- Edit Tasks - โจ NEW! Fix your typos without the delete-and-recreate dance
- Persistent Storage - Your tasks survive computer restarts (and now in JSON format!)
๐ฅ๏ธ CLI Experience
- Simple Commands -
add,remove,complete,edit- still no PhD required - Help System - Type
-?when you inevitably forget the new edit syntax - Cross-Platform - Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux (because productivity shouldn't discriminate)
๐ Technical Goodies
- Built with .NET for speed and reliability
- Lightweight and fast (unlike other todo apps that need 2GB of RAM)
- No internet required (your tasks stay private, just like your browser history)
- JSON Storage - โจ NEW! Proper structured data format for your tasks
๐ Known Issues
- Still none that I know of (the edit command works, I promise!)
- If you find any, please let me know! I promise to fix them faster than I procrastinate
๐ Special Thanks
- To every todo app that was too complicated and made me build my own
- To caffeine, the real MVP
- To everyone who asked "but can I edit tasks?" - yes, now you can!
๐ฎ What's Next?
The journey continues! Future versions might include:
- More ways to organize your chaos (categories? priorities? colors?)
- Subtasks that actually make sense
- Features you didn't know you needed (project tasks?)
