• Update popup instead of the disc pill — the blue pill is gone; updates now arrive as a centered modal with Update now, Later (snoozes this version for the session) and On next open (auto-installs on the next overlay open, persisted in localStorage). Shows live download/install progress and install errors inline, opens from Settings too, and respects Esc, focus trap and backdrop-click to snooze.
• Resizable Settings and Actions panels — the borderless OS window is now resizable (480x600 to 1100x900) with native edge/corner drags (native snap on Windows/Linux, manual setSize/setPosition fallback on macOS) plus a subtle SE grip. Both panels are fluid and track the window; Settings is regrouped into Appearance / General / Updates sections (520px sheet) and the Actions editor fills up to 980x820. Double-click the grip recenters on the current monitor, and panel headers act as title bars for moving.
• Accent- and whitespace-insensitive search — queries normalize (trim, collapse spaces, lowercase, strip diacritics), so cancion finds Canción, native sdk finds Native SDK docs and GitHub just works. Whitespace-only input counts as empty (shows everything, no "no matches"), the input keeps raw keystrokes so the caret never jumps, and the app picker shares the same matching.

QuickSpot v0.5.5

Highlights

• Appearance — new Settings row with System (follows the OS: light OS → light, dark OS → dark), Light, Dark or Deep black (pure-black OLED opt-in). It applies live, persists as the theme config key and is fully localized.
• Hover magnification that tracks the cursor — pointer coordinates are mapped through the centered, scaled canvas, so the chip under the cursor is the one that grows and gets selected; leaving the window drops the magnification instead of leaving a chip stuck enlarged.
• Theme-aware plumbing — theme-color and color-scheme follow the active appearance, unknown values safely fall back to system, and the settings toggle switch keeps its 2px geometry guarded by tests.

QuickSpot v0.5.0

Highlights

• Sequence actions — a sixth action kind that runs up to 5 steps in order (URL, command, app, file or folder — no nesting). Pick Sequence as the type and give each step its own type and value with the same pickers as single actions; steps run best-effort without delay and the overlay always closes.
• Roomier actions editor — the panel grows from 500x560 to 620x680, the header plus "Add action" stay pinned in a sticky toolbar, and new cards are born at the top so you never scroll to find what you just created.
• Safer kind switching — changing an action's type now clears the stale value (a URL, a shell command and a file path are incompatible), keeping only your label and group. Re-selecting the same kind is a no-op and never wipes anything.
• Bigger overlay window, same disc — the OS window grows from 520x580 to 680x740 with the 520x580 launcher canvas centered inside, so the larger editor no longer clips its shadow; scaling now tracks the window size and panels are clamped to the viewport on small screens.
• Full-height reorder rail — the Up/Down buttons stretch with each card instead of staying fixed squares, and a hand-edited config with blank or nested sequence steps is sanitized the same way in Rust and TypeScript.

• File and folder actions — two new action kinds: open any file with its OS default handler or jump straight into a folder in the file manager. The actions panel adds native file and folder pickers, so you never have to type paths by hand.
• "+N more" match counter — when your query matches more actions than fit on the disc, the overlay now tells you exactly how many more are hidden.
• Version in Settings — the settings panel now shows the running app version, localized into your language.

• Show action icons — new Settings toggle to hide the kind icons on the chips and give the labels more room.
