🎉 What's New

Full Support for YouTube's 2026 Redesign

YouTube has rolled out a major redesign using the new yt-lockup-view-model component. This update ensures FreshView works perfectly with the new layout.

Fixed Issues:

  • ✅ Videos in playlists now properly hide when watched
  • ✅ Search results work with the new design
  • ✅ Home page videos are detected correctly
  • ✅ Subscriptions page fully supported
  • ✅ Progress bars properly detected in the new UI

🔧 Technical Improvements

Better Video Detection

  • Added multiple fallback selectors to find video links and titles in the new UI
  • Generic fallback a[href*='/watch?v='] catches videos even if the structure changes again
  • Improved title extraction with multiple selector strategies

Improved Progress Bar Detection

  • Now supports transform: scaleX() progress indicators used in the new design
  • Added multiple fallback methods for extracting watch percentage
  • Better handling of different progress bar implementations

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed derivePath() infinite loop bug that could cause performance issues
  • Added element deduplication to prevent processing the same video multiple times
  • Improved error handling and logging
