alpha-mvp

This is an alpha/MVP MySQL-protocol-compatible server build. It is not production-ready (no WAL/durability story, incomplete MySQL 8.0/MariaDB compatibility, incomplete isolation semantics).

Minimal usage

  1. Download the asset for your OS and extract it.
  2. Run:
    • ./rusty-mini-mysql --listen 127.0.0.1:3307 --data ./data --root-password root
  3. Connect:
    • mysql -h 127.0.0.1 -P 3307 -u root -proot

What works (subset)

  • Handshake + mysql_native_password auth
  • Basic DDL/DML + joins + WHERE ops + aggregates (see README.md)
  • CREATE INDEX (subset; non-unique, single-column; maintained on writes)
  • Transactions (basic): BEGIN/COMMIT/ROLLBACK + savepoints
