Why

External SEO audits flagged the absence of an explicit Mobula conflict-of-interest disclosure on /about. Mobula appears as leader on multiple benchmarks and the site presents itself as a neutral methodology arbiter — the gap was the obvious credibility hole.

What

Adds a new section iii ('Independence and disclosure') between 'What we measure' and 'How it works':

  • Declares Mobula as the funder + the why
  • Names the 5 benchmarks Mobula competes in and the 2 it leads, above the fold
  • Three concrete safeguards: open Prom data, open harness source, public methodology review (with the Coinpaprika story as live evidence)
  • Explicit no-paid-tier / no-sponsorship / no-token policy
  • Renumbers the downstream sections (iv / v / vi)

Effect

Resolves a real E-E-A-T gap. Researcher-grade readers (Messari, Galaxy, Coinpaprika) reading /about will now see the conflict declared and the safeguards before they can wonder why Mobula ranks #1.

Addresses the Mobula conflict-of-interest gap flagged in external SEO
audits and required for the 'neutral methodology arbiter' positioning.

New section iii on the About page declares:
- Mobula funds the project + why
- Mobula competes in 5 benchmarks and leads 2 (made explicit above the fold)
- Three safeguards: open Prometheus data, open harness source, public
methodology review (with the Coinpaprika story as the live example)
- No paid tier, no sponsored slots, no token policy
- Hosting funding source

E-E-A-T signal: makes the conflict legible, links the recent methodology
review PRs (#349, #352, #353), and gives Search Console / AI citation
engines a concrete reason to treat the bench as authoritative.
