  • Keep Python callbacks lean; heavy work should be offloaded.
  • Avoid unnecessary object churn on hot paths.
  • Use appropriate timeouts to avoid hanging commands blocking the queue.
  • Save the session before running commands that might hang so a restart can recover state automatically.
