OrbitKey v0.1.5
OrbitKey v0.1.5: The Smooth Orbit Update πͺπ
Welcome to OrbitKey v0.1.5! This release focuses heavily on stability, precise window management, and adding that extra layer of premium polish to the user interface. We've completely rebuilt the shortcut execution engines for both Windows and macOS to bypass OS-specific limitations, making your macros more reliable than ever.
β¨ What's New & Improved
Premium Splash Screen: Added a beautiful, theme-aware splash screen with a smooth fade-out transition while the app loads your configurations.
Smart Modifier Display: The UI now dynamically adapts to your OS, displaying win instead of cmd for Windows users in the macro sequence editor.
Native Windows Execution Engine: We've rewritten the shortcut simulator on Windows using Native Win32 APIs. This completely fixes the "Thai keyboard layout" bug, ensuring macros execute perfectly regardless of your current language layout.
AppleScript macOS Engine: Switched to an AppleScript-based execution engine on Mac to prevent fatal crashes caused by strict Accessibility permission blocks.
Perfected Focus Management (Windows): Fixed an issue where the Control Panel wouldn't properly restore from a minimized state. It now reliably pushes to the front of your screen when summoned via the Action Ring.
Polished UI Elements: Refined the "Report Bug" and "Support" buttons with sleek, expanding hover animations.
π Important Note for macOS Users: "App is damaged" Error
Because OrbitKey is a new, indie-developed application, the aggressive macOS Gatekeeper security system might mistakenly flag the downloaded app as "damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash." Don't worry, the file is perfectly safe! Your Mac has simply quarantined the file because it was downloaded from the internet. Here is how to fix it in 10 seconds:
The Fix:
Drag and drop OrbitKey.app into your Mac's Applications folder.
Open the Terminal app (you can find it using Spotlight search Cmd + Space).
Copy and paste the following command into the Terminal and press Enter:
xattr -cr /Applications/OrbitKey.appThat's it! You can now launch OrbitKey normally. (Note: On your first launch, macOS will ask you to grant Accessibility permissions for the Action Ring to simulate keystrokes).
