🐛 Release v2.3.1 - Critical macOS Bug Fix

This patch release fixes a critical bug in the configuration script that prevented macOS users from saving their preferences.

🔧 Bug Fix

Fixed: Configuration Save Error on macOS

  • Issue: The save_configuration() function in scripts/configure.sh was incorrectly trying to access sys.argv[1] in a Python heredoc
  • Error: IndexError: list index out of range when saving configuration
  • Root Cause: Python heredocs don't receive command-line arguments, making sys.argv[1] inaccessible
  • Solution: Changed to use direct shell variable substitution in the heredoc

📝 Technical Details

The fix changes the Python heredoc from:

# Before (BROKEN)
python3 << 'PYTHON_SCRIPT'
config_file = sys.argv[1]  # IndexError!

To:

# After (FIXED)
python3 << PYTHON_SCRIPT
config_file = "$config_file"  # Works correctly
