Andy's Better Villager Leads Wiki

Official player guide for Andy's Better Villager Leads, a Minecraft Bedrock add-on that lets ordinary leads move adult villagers, baby villagers, wandering traders, and zombie villagers — with longer rope distances and native living-villager convoys.

Andy's Better Villager Leads hero

Current release: 1.0.2 Minecraft: Bedrock 26.30 or newer, including 26.45 Graphics: Standard and Vibrant Visuals Requirements: Both linked packs; no Beta APIs, experiments, cheats, or companion add-ons

What the add-on does

  • Lets ordinary leads attach to adult villagers, baby villagers, wandering traders, and zombie villagers
  • Uses forgiving 6/10/20-block leash thresholds for following, spring pulling, and breaking
  • Supports native fence tethering and boat/minecart boarding
  • Lets living villagers hold other leashed entities to form multi-villager convoys
  • Protects active player leads and supported convoy members from another player's lead, shears, or empty-hand interactions
  • Saves independent per-category and convoy settings through an operator menu or dedicated-server console

Quick start

  1. Download Andys_Better_Villager_Leads_1.0.2.mcaddon from the main repository or the official CurseForge project.
  2. Open it with Minecraft Bedrock and activate both linked packs in a test world.
  3. Leave cheats and every experiment off.
  4. Equip an ordinary lead and interact with an adult villager, baby villager, wandering trader, or zombie villager.
  5. Walk it to a fence to tether it, or bring it into contact with an empty boat or minecart to board it.
