v0.3.1 — Long-running Codex chats
Fixes #5: active Codex conversations that started weeks or months ago now appear in the office.
Fix
Codex session folders reflect the date a chat began. Previously, discovery skipped old date folders before checking whether their logs were still being updated.
Discovery now checks all session date folders and filters logs by their modification time. Resuming an old conversation is detected on the next directory scan (about five seconds). The configured --hours window still applies, inactive log contents are not read, and active logs continue to be tailed incrementally. No session index is required.
Validation
- Six isolated filesystem regression tests pass: active old chats, resumed chats, incremental updates, custom time windows, inaccessible paths, and large logs with current state in the tail.
- A local synthetic check with 10,000 historical logs across 730 date folders took 95–97 ms per discovery scan, with no inactive log contents opened. Timing varies with the machine and filesystem.
Update
Existing Git installations can run /myoffice update or, from the project folder:
node bin/cli.js --updateThe dashboard will also offer v0.3.1 after GitHub's cache refreshes and the next periodic version check. Source archives below include the prebuilt dashboard; Node.js 18+ is required and no build is necessary. Archive installations must be replaced manually to update.
v0.3.0 — Picture-in-Picture and provider logos
Keep an eye on your agents in a floating window, identify each provider at a glance, and enjoy a cleaner toolbar.
What's new
- Picture-in-Picture: pop out the interactive 2D/3D office or a compact list of agents that need you or are working. Preferences synchronize with the main tab; closing the window restores the dashboard. Completes #2, incorporating the iframe approach proposed by @wanting82 in #3.
- Video fallback: when Document PiP is unavailable, use a local, view-only canvas-video preview with the browser's video PiP controls. No screen-sharing permission or video upload is needed.
- Provider logos: transparent official Claude, Codex and Gemini icons appear in 2D/3D name tags, the legend, lists and filters, including subagents. Hide office markers under Settings → Agent badges. Completes #4.
- Cleaner toolbar: view controls and Pop out remain visible; scenes, filters, display options, notifications and language are grouped under Settings.
- Improved compact layouts, PiP error recovery, media cleanup, and 3D fallback handling. New strings are available in all nine supported languages.
Update / install
Existing Git installations: run /myoffice update with your agent, or run this from the project folder:
node bin/cli.js --updateThe dashboard checks for new versions roughly every 30 minutes and will now offer an update to 0.3.0. If update checks are disabled, update manually.
New installations:
git clone https://github.com/Charonyuu/whatsmyagentdoing.git
cd whatsmyagentdoing
node bin/cli.jsAlternatively, download Source code (zip) or Source code (tar.gz) below, extract it, and run node bin/cli.js from the extracted folder. Node.js 18+ is required; no npm install or build is needed. Git installations support the built-in updater; archive installations must be replaced manually to update.
Validation and limitations
- 3D build and all 16 Chrome UI regression checks pass, covering logos, settings, compact views, PiP lifecycle, video capture, and responsive light/dark layouts.
- The video fallback was tested in Chrome with Document PiP disabled. Firefox/Safari native video controls still need browser-specific manual testing; background frame rate depends on browser throttling.
- Copilot support from #1 is not included.
- This is a GitHub release. The project is not currently published to npm.
Scene packs
Downloadable 3D scenes for whatsmyagentdoing. You don't need to download these by hand: pick a scene in the 3D view, run --scene <id>, or ask your agent. Each file is checksum-verified before it's installed.
