RSModsPlus v3.1.0: Lower Drop Pedal latency and easier ASIO setup

Changes since v3.0.0

Drop Pedal responsiveness

  • Down-shifts no longer wait for a cleaner splice while input delay builds up.
The best phase-aligned splice is committed immediately, with a longer
crossfade when the match is poor.
  • The production harness measures roughly 6-19 ms median content delay across
the tested notes and shifts at 48 kHz with 128-frame callbacks, comparable to a
physical pedal. Audio-interface round-trip latency is separate.
  • Added deterministic content-delay and callback-timing diagnostics alongside
    the existing sound-quality harness.

ASIO input routing

  • Automatic routing now follows the input actually configured in RS_ASIO.ini,
including single-player setups that use only [Asio.Input.1].
  • The launch log now states which ASIO channel each shifter processes.
  • Optional per-player channel overrides are available for unusual setups where
automatic routing selects the wrong hardware input.

Game support

  • Added the confirmed Learn & Play tuning-reference address and per-player
pipeline IDs. Cable Drop Pedal can now keep each player's audible shift and
note detection independent on the December 2024 build.

Documentation

  • Replaced the front-page setup text with a three-step Quick Start.
  • Clarified that every session starts at Pitch: Off and that F7 must select
Drop Pedal before the pitch keys work.
  • Simplified the ASIO guide and moved manual channel overrides into
    troubleshooting only.

Install

Download xinput1_3.zip, extract xinput1_3.dll, and place it next to
Rocksmith2014.exe, replacing the existing RSMods DLL while the game is closed.
