🚀 Want to Build It Yourself? (For Students & Devs)

Learning Flutter or curious how it all works? Awesome — you can build Meerkat yourself!

1. Install Tools:
   Get Flutter and Rust on your system.

2. Get the Code:
   Clone this repo or download it as a ZIP.

3. Open the Project:
   In your terminal, go to the app folder:

   cd app

4. Install Packages:
   Run:

   flutter pub get

5. Run It!
   Start the app:

   flutter run

🧠 How Does It Work?

Meerkat (and LocalSend) skips the “upload → server → download” part.
Instead, it creates a direct, secure HTTPS connection between devices on the same Wi-Fi network — meaning faster transfers and complete privacy.
