Full Homebrew Navigation Support

  • Universal Homebrew Navigation: Xbox controllers can now navigate inside all PS4 homebrew applications (such as Apollo Save Tool, DiPlay, Homebrew Store, Itemzflow, PS4-Explorer, and GoldHEN Cheats Manager).
  • DualShock 4 & Xbox Merge: Both controllers operate simultaneously in MERGE mode. You can also use the Xbox controller alone even if your DualShock 4 is turned off or disconnected.
  • Robust Pad Interfacing: Fixed internal libScePad calling conventions (flags = 0 and prologue patching) and implemented scePadGetControllerInformation hooks to ensure SDL2 homebrew instantly detects connected controllers without console freezes.
  • System Stability: Preserved strict process blacklisting for system daemons and full isolation from USB storage devices (class 0x08).

Companion App: Xbox Controller Configurator (.pkg)

  • On-Console Configuration GUI: An optional PS4 homebrew application is now provided to preview and configure all plugin settings directly on your TV.
  • 10 Interactive Settings:
    1. Operating Mode: Auto, Merge (Player 1), Secondary (Player 2)
    2. Guide Button: Touchpad, Share, Disabled
    3. Stick Deadzone: 0% to 25% (default 12%)
    4. Trigger Threshold: 15 to 80 (default 30 / 12%)
    5. Swap Bumpers & Triggers: Disabled, Enabled
    6. Vibration: Enabled, Disabled
    7. GoldHEN Notifications: Enabled, Disabled
    8. Mode Toggle Combo: Enabled, Disabled (LB+RB+Back+Start for 1.5s)
    9. Homebrew Navigation: Enabled, Disabled
    10. Switch Controller Layout: Positional, By Letter
  • Responsive Scroll Viewport: Smooth 5-card vertical scrolling with native scrollbar and live position indicator (1/10 to 10/10).
  • Instant Save: Press Cross (X) to write changes immediately to /data/GoldHEN/xbox_controller.ini with an on-screen toast confirmation.

Optional INI Engine (xbox_controller.ini)

  • Persistent settings can now be saved to /data/GoldHEN/xbox_controller.ini.
  • Zero-allocation static parser with 100% backward compatibility (if no INI exists, default v1.4.0 behavior is preserved).

Release Assets

  • xbox_controller.prx: The GoldHEN plugin (copy to /data/GoldHEN/plugins/ or enable globally in plugins.ini).
  • xbox_controller_configurator.pkg: The optional companion configurator app (install via GoldHEN Package Installer).
  • xbox_controller.ini.example: Reference configuration file template.
