0.15.2: Paintings for your desk and games

Choose a tag to compare

@Chris0Jeky Chris0Jeky released this 14 Oct 02:43
030d581

Paintings for your desk and games: new optional illustrations for the Desk, Lantern Duel and Pocket Borough, plus clearer navigation pictograms.

Startup is lighter. Six advanced Crime Scene puzzles load on demand through the existing offline cache; all 510 puzzles and existing saves retain their published identities. The release also includes the pause-focus and Bridges landscape repairs already merged in source.

The attached portable zip and standalone HTML come from the same clean source as the Cloudflare release. SHA256SUMS and RELEASE-MANIFEST.json identify the artifacts; complete origin, deployed-file, artwork and real save/update evidence is included. Physical Android/TalkBack acceptance remains open in HUMAN_TODO.md.

0.15.1: Keep your latest edits and the screen you opened

Published: 3 October 2026

Source 98be800d0715a25695fe99480bb801fd30397220, build 0e84cab82d67, from reviewed
#559 and
#553. Normal merges preserve the
#540/#542/#550/#552 histories and landed #557's Club test diagnostics. Canonical
#539/#543 retain their original issue ownership. The release also includes landed
#432's 24 optional Lattice Workshop studies; Expert labels remain provisional.

Workshop validation/generation/save feedback stays with the current draft.
Backup review, errors and picker cleanup stay with their owning route. Four
independent synchronous Journey/Theatre guards preserve ordinary commit, painted
completion, dialogs and saves. The aligned family-table parser retains exact
family, per-family count and registry-total assertions. Earlier save/update,
lesson, import-limit and responsive-control fixes are included. Published puzzle
IDs/revisions, save schema and registered origins remain compatible.

Executed qualification

All nine exact-head PR workflows passed at
6fa50fc41a4f1120460460cfcf4e831890485506, including
full verification.
All four exact merged-main workflows passed, including
full Linux/browser verification,
which passed 1,066 tests with zero failures or skips.
Fresh merged-source Windows verification passed 1,063 tests with zero failures
and three intentional filename skips; Quiet Wing passed 581,847 engine assertions
and 29 adapter contracts. Formatter, Android payload, SDK integrity and the
existing primary dry run passed. Independent Sol/high source, fixture, ancestry,
SDK and measured-budget review found no blockers. The count-parser process
finding was resolved with separate-commit and identical-blob evidence.

Serial actual browser qualification at the reviewed PR head passed completion12,
UI184, real-origin270, Workshop Worker9, backup Worker13, intercepted SDK89 and
mobile16. Actual Sudoku commit and Nonogram painting cases reproduce both defects
on the exact peer baseline and pass with the guards at 390/1440. Captures were
inspected. #557 changes only tests/docs; the actual merged source was freshly
verified and built. The earlier hosted string-predicate CSP fixture failure was
corrected; the final run passed. Earlier runner configuration failures and the
baseline-validator correction remain recorded in local evidence.

Clean merged web measurements: JavaScript gzip 134,934 bytes, startup gzip
204,206 bytes, code-shell 1,411,618 bytes. Final hook containment received only
a measured 48-byte shell allowance, leaving 6.32 bytes; existing JavaScript and
startup ceilings were retained. All thirteen app catalogue receipts match.

Primary publication and retained rollback

The primary Cloudflare site
serves Worker version 988c9f8b-5eb1-4325-83e8-4a6f7f2cbc40 at 100%, deployment
32b19edd-2d5c-42f6-ac8c-42f73f19fa6d. All 293 public emitted files returned HTTP200 and
matched the clean output byte for byte; _headers is host configuration.
Actual CSP, nosniff, referrer/permissions policies, manifest scope, PNG icon MIME,
hashed assets and platform identity passed. An unknown path returned HTTP404.

One disposable Chromium profile seeded a synthetic 0.15.0 Sudoku save on that
same origin. Actual Check for updates kept the old app active while waiting; an
extra saved move followed by Save & update retained exact state and the pinned
puzzle definition. Offline reload retained the new release and both moves.
The SDK is inert under browser automation; no player profile or collector data
was collected. Retired Sites and hosted optional rooms were not deployed.

Retained rollback candidate: 0.15.0 Worker
20bd0591-b597-4c81-b512-49e51180a9de. A production rollback was not executed.
Rollback does not reverse IndexedDB or instantly replace installed workers.
Public packages and checksums are attached to

Later repository work

Games Room #556 landed afterward at
c6fed0e3bcd0f0cde6f8cb9ef44c542c75c5306e. Its result-retention/focus changes
are outside this published source, build, package and tag. The later publication
documentation merge preserves that owner’s notes without redeploying its code or
claiming its independent acceptance as part of this release.

Registered SDK and remaining acceptance

Pulseboard #186, source
3617e228d9b29852208edbdac68ffa1d2bf05814, supplies SDK3.3.1 for Alibi0.15.1:
59,772 bytes, SHA-256
ab1921f0950a4164a31a00c7810d09569ece2eca7ef98474aa11ff96791deadc.
The collector owner established schema5/readiness and deployed version
4033fc8f-f8f8-4b13-882a-2230a22733a9; Alibi did not duplicate that deployment.

Physical Android file-provider timing, install/airplane-mode/TalkBack acceptance
and the affected-device freeze retest remain open in
HUMAN_TODO.md and PHONE-SESSION.md.
Browser acceptance does not establish issue#11's physical cause. Asynchronous
hook rejection, other Journey calls, optional hosted rooms and owner-held
artwork/Interlock scope remain separate.

Tell us what you think, and the vaults open.

  • Feedback, ratings and a short survey. A Feedback button on every screen, "Report a problem with this puzzle", a Too easy · Just right · Too hard rating after official puzzles, and an occasional seven-question survey whose answers you can update later. Nothing is sent until you press Send, submit or tap; messages wait on your device while you are offline and send when you are back.
  • Archive Heist vaults. The 24 curated vaults now play as rooms 10–33 in the Games Room, with solved markers and end cards. The challenge library is grouped by family, with real boards, an arrow pad, Completed and Continue markers, and Lantern Duel endgames where Ink answers each move.
  • A clearer castle. Chapter I says when it is complete, the thread suggests the next room, locked doors name the room that opens them, and the Observatory clock accepts 21:00, 2100 or 21.00.
  • Games Room and puzzles. On phones the board stays in view; the chosen Duel strength is visible; Play again and Next garden are one tap. Library filters belong to one puzzle type, finished crime scenes tell you to make the accusation, casebook chapters say which chapter you completed, and Block Cabinet stops cleanly at its 500-move limit.

Alibi 0.14.1

This web release replaces the Usage sharing box with the Pulseboard SDK 3.1.0. On the hosted site, a one-line Beta notice now sits at the top of the page and never covers the board or its controls: OK accepts, and Choose opens three switches (usage counts, diagnostics, journeys) with Save and Turn all off. After you choose, a Beta button inside Settings and Privacy reopens your choices. Privacy explains what each category sends, the EEA defaults, Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track, and retention. Puzzle events carry only official puzzle IDs, seconds, hint and attempt counts. The catalogue is unchanged at 510 puzzles.

Downloads: the static Cloudflare bundle and the self-contained HTML preview. The preview never loads the SDK. Verify them with SHA256SUMS. Release record: docs/RELEASE-0.14.1.md.

Alibi 0.14.0

This web release adds 80 original Vault studies — 20 each in Sun & Moon, Sudoku, Lanterns and Futoshiki — bringing the collection to 510 puzzles across 30 packs. Their 47 Expert and 33 Master labels remain provisional until human playtesting; each board carries machine uniqueness receipts, not difficulty or enjoyment claims.

To keep the first load light, the Vault boards arrive in a separate file that is saved for offline play. If it cannot load yet, opening an unstarted Vault study shows a Retry notice and creates no save; saved Vault games always resume from their own stored copy.

Browser acceptance does not certify physical Android, TalkBack, or human difficulty calibration; those remain in HUMAN_TODO.md. See docs/RELEASE-0.14.0.md for build and hosted receipts.

Alibi 0.13.0

@Chris0Jeky Chris0Jeky released this 26 Sep 20:54
fa9dc0e

Alibi 0.13.0

This web release adds 36 new challenges: 24 Archive Heist vaults with three or four crates, and 12 Pocket Borough planning contracts that pair score targets with neighbourhood requirements and visible progress. The challenge library (now 95) gains a family filter.

In the Games Room, Lantern Duel offers four strengths (Learner, Club, Keeper, Expert); existing saves keep Keeper. A failed opponent now pauses for an explicit Retry. Block Cabinet's confirmed Start again deals a fresh game, while typed seeds stay repeatable.

Usage sharing now lives inside Settings and Privacy instead of a banner; it still defaults on for eligible visits on the primary site and its checkbox turns it off persistently. Club saves are safer during restores, storage failures and quick navigation. The puzzle catalogue is unchanged at 430 puzzles.

Browser acceptance does not certify physical Android, TalkBack, or human difficulty calibration; those remain in HUMAN_TODO.md. See docs/RELEASE-0.13.0.md for build and hosted receipts.

Alibi 0.12.0

This web release adds 48 Night studies across eight puzzle families, for 430 puzzles in 26 packs. It also includes the Desk type and sizing improvements, the eight approved radius mappings, Block Cabinet stability work, and a Lantern conflict-hint correction.

Eligible visitors without a stored opt-out, including return visitors, on the primary Cloudflare site now see an open Usage sharing notice with sharing on. Its checkbox turns sharing off immediately and preserves that choice. The Pulseboard collector receives bounded counts by event, section and app release, without puzzle content, saves, notes, session or visitor IDs in the payload; its hosting provider still receives ordinary request metadata such as IP addresses. Prior opt-outs, GPC, DNT, unavailable or corrupt preference storage, automated browsers and standalone exports stay off. The separate Sites fallback does not load the collector.

The web release keeps device-local saves and separate origin storage. Browser acceptance does not certify physical Android, TalkBack, or human difficulty calibration; those remain in HUMAN_TODO.md. See docs/RELEASE-0.12.0.md for build and hosted receipts.

Alibi 0.11.6 — A larger picture collection, clearer hints

Choose a tag to compare

@Chris0Jeky Chris0Jeky released this 25 Sep 10:39
aa93c33

Alibi 0.11.6 adds six original 15×15 Picture Logic studies and brings the collection to 382 puzzles across 23 packs. Lantern and Tents hints are clearer, Archive board-edge cases are corrected, and Reversi's search depth is bounded.

Cabinet backup restoration now snapshots recovery data and replaces records in one IndexedDB transaction. A merge refuses a stale snapshot, retains another tab's saved preferences and runs, and aborts malformed direct restores without clearing progress.

Both existing web origins carry the same verified build. The new Picture Logic difficulty labels remain provisional pending human playtesting. Android remains a non-publishable preview; physical-device, TalkBack, and sustained-performance checks remain open.

Alibi 0.11.4 — A deeper Expert collection

@Chris0Jeky Chris0Jeky released this 17 Sep 09:08
a79b7eb

Six additive provisional Expert studies bring the source catalogue to 361 puzzles across twenty packs: three original 15×15 Nonograms and three Sudoku layouts. This release also includes compact narrow-screen Nonogram controls, unique journal identity totals, consent-gated Observatory context, and revision-safe device-local saves and optional caches. Published on the existing Cloudflare primary and Sites fallback. Physical Android, TalkBack, difficulty/curation, narrative and audio-comfort acceptance remain open in HUMAN_TODO.md. Alibi 0.11.3 — A clearer Expert collection

Choose a tag to compare

@Chris0Jeky Chris0Jeky released this 12 Sep 16:09
dc8e3ef

An original Bellweather lighthouse now appears in the 15×15 Expert Nonogram, and Expert Aquarium guidance correctly describes seven reservoirs. Both changes use explicit revision-2 definitions; existing saved revision-1 puzzles continue with their original definitions.

Quiet Wing recovery also retains keyboard focus when offline readiness redraws Settings. A deterministic browser regression reproduces the former lost-focus sequence and verifies actual Enter navigation.

Play Alibi · Fallback site

Published from dc8e3ef4222d8d887edda10e702405ff1f3e542f, build 01501bb6797b. All four PR checks passed before merge. Local verification passes 245 tests plus supplementary suites and 182 UI checks. Both live origins pass all-file delivery verification, 92 save/offline checks each, and actual 0.11.2-to-0.11.3 saved-game updates. Hosted Expert controls pass 20 Aquarium, 33 Nonogram and 26 other assertions; Quiet Wing keyboard focus passes at phone-size and desktop widths.

Expert difficulty remains provisional pending human playtesting. Physical Android and accessibility acceptance remain in HUMAN_TODO.md. A minor journal total that counts completed revisions separately is tracked in #147; both saves remain intact.

The ZIP contains the complete static release; the HTML is the self-contained offline preview.
