What's new in 1.1.1

Fixed

  • Better tempo detection for live and fast music. Rock, punk and drum & bass were often read at half speed, and some live recordings could come out at an unrelated tempo (for example a ~175 BPM rock track read as 116). Keygrid now finds the main pulse using the weight of the kick and snare, and only doubles or halves it when the drums or percussion actually play that level. Hip-hop, trap, reggaeton, house and ballads keep their correct tempos. Thanks to Pedro Uribe for the report.

Install

Mac (Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 11 or newer)

  1. Download Keygrid_1.1.1_universal.dmg below and open it.
  2. Drag Keygrid into Applications.
  3. First time only: open Keygrid once, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

Windows (Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit)

  1. Download Keygrid_1.1.1_x64-setup.exe below and open it.
  2. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Follow the installer. Keygrid appears in your Start menu.

Your history in Previous carries over when you update.
