New in 0.2.0

  • Add a bounded Character dock with current HP, current and maximum mana, active character identity, and 23 text-only equipment slots. Maximum HP remains intentionally omitted until a separate stable source passes the evidence gate.
  • Add a local, offline Parse dock for current or most-recent encounter damage, DPS, percentages, and active duration, including bounded append, inactivity, truncation, and rotation handling.
  • Color ordinary NPC map markers by the validated gray, green, light blue, blue, white, yellow, and red consider bands.
  • Preserve the native Linux, read-only, fail-closed boundary: no injection, writes, automation, network service, game assets, or Wine-prefix modification.

Packages

  • Fedora 43 and Fedora 44: sudo dnf copr enable christitustech/copr-fedora && sudo dnf install plazmic-legends
  • Portable x86-64 Linux: download the AppImage and its adjacent SHA-256 file below.
  • The attached Fedora 44 RPM is the signed repository artifact produced by COPR build 10809022.

Validation and known risk

Exact-head CI and CodeQL passed at release commit 0203e9623f22466d2f6530a6d8d6480da11e7e06; 16/16 local tests passed; the clean AppImage and signed repository RPM report version 0.2.0 and passed package-content and Xvfb startup checks. The final live zoning, camping, process-exit, and reacquisition sequence was not repeated on the merged head and remains an explicitly accepted release residual risk.

The supported client fingerprint remains 97ee793d491930ac97f91e5e26fac16d84d17ff24afcd24d5390d256e7045661.

What's new

  • Highlight named NPC spawns whose names begin with # using a distinct map color and marker.
  • Add a Filters / Labels dropdown with independent visibility controls for Named NPC, PC, NPC, and Ground / Other markers.
  • Add independent label controls for named NPCs, player characters, and ordinary NPCs.
  • Render non-NPC and ground spawns in neutral gray and expose them through the spawn-table type filter.
  • Keep hidden marker categories out of map hit-testing and restore the new controls correctly with Reset Layout.

Packages

  • Fedora 43 and Fedora 44: sudo dnf copr enable christitustech/copr-fedora && sudo dnf install plazmic-legends
  • Portable x86-64 Linux: download the AppImage and its adjacent SHA-256 file below.
  • The attached Fedora 44 RPM is the signed repository artifact produced by COPR build 10803614.

This remains a native Linux, read-only companion. It does not inject into, write to, or modify EverQuest Legends or its Wine prefix. The supported client fingerprint remains 97ee793d491930ac97f91e5e26fac16d84d17ff24afcd24d5390d256e7045661.

Plazmic Legends 0.1.2

First official Plazmic Legends release.

Plazmic Legends is a native Linux, read-only companion for the exact supported EverQuest Legends client running under Wine. It includes map, player, and spawn presentation with lifecycle-safe state invalidation.

Asset refresh: the current package assets were rebuilt from 488281c. They add automatic client-directory discovery and persist the selected directory in [client].game_directory, so later launches need no client argument.

Assets:

  • Fedora 44 x86-64 RPM (0.1.2-2)
  • Portable x86-64 AppImage built on Ubuntu 22.04 with Qt 6.8.3
  • Adjacent SHA-256 checksum files for both packages

Install the RPM:

sudo dnf install ./plazmic-legends-0.1.2-2.fc44.x86_64.rpm

Run the AppImage:

sha256sum --check Plazmic-Legends-0.1.2-x86_64.AppImage.sha256
chmod +x Plazmic-Legends-0.1.2-x86_64.AppImage
./Plazmic-Legends-0.1.2-x86_64.AppImage

On first launch, use --client /path/to/eqgame.exe, set EQ_LEGENDS_DIR, or let the bounded home-directory scan find the installation. A valid selection is saved automatically.

The RPM targets Fedora 44. The AppImage targets x86-64 Linux with glibc 2.35 or newer and an X11/XWayland session.
