Features

Technologies Used

Installation

Follow these steps to get the PlanTracker application up and running on your local machine:

1. Clone the Repository:

   git clone https://github.com/yourusername/PlanTracker.git
   cd PlanTracker

2. Install Dependencies:

   npm install

3. Setup Database:

   • Ensure PostgreSQL is installed and running on your machine.
   • Create a new database for the application. .......gotta change

4. Start the Application:

   npm start

   Access the application at http://localhost:3000.

Usage

• Dashboard: Upon login, navigate to the dashboard to access all categories.
• Events: Add new events, view upcoming events, and update or delete existing ones.
• Shopping Lists: Create and manage shopping lists, mark items as bought, and delete lists.
• Vacations: Plan your vacations, add activities, and manage itineraries.
• Careers: Set career goals, track progress, and manage tasks related to your career.

Project Structure

The project is organized as follows:

• public/: Contains static assets such as CSS and html
• views/: Handlebars templates for rendering HTML pages.
• routes/: Contains Express.js route handlers for API endpoints.
• models/: Sequelize models for interacting with the PostgreSQL database.
• config/: Configuration files for database and application settings.
