v0.4.0: Charts, Maps & Docker
Corrected 2026-09-23. Most of this note describes work that landed after the commit it is attached to. This release and the eight other pre-1.0 releases were published on 2026-05-10, weeks after the commits they tag, and were written from the phase plan rather than from the code. The original wording is replaced above; nothing else in this note has changed.
Phase 4: Charts, Maps, Anomaly Detection, Docker
What is actually in this tag (e9448f4, authored 2026-04-22): the five anomaly
detectors and the three Docker Compose services below. Everything else in this list
arrived later. At this commit there is no charts page, no map, no reports page and no
sidebar: Root.jsx is sixteen lines switching auth against a single 153-line
App.jsx with no tabs. There is no /api/imf, /api/dst, /api/kp-3h or
/api/reports/* route, no Starlink module, and no db_writer module, so the
single-writer pattern was not in place either. The backend modules here are
anomaly, auth, db, iss, main, nasa, noaa, poller, routes.
- Charts tab: solar wind, Kp gauge, X-ray flux, IMF Bz, Dst index
- Map tab: aurora oval forecast (NOAA), Starlink constellation (Leaflet)
- Anomaly detection: 5 detectors (Kp storm, solar wind speed, X-ray flare, asteroid close approach, ML forecast storm)
- Reports page: 24h/7d/30d summary stats + CSV export
- Sidebar navigation with 7 pages
- IMF Bz and Dst pollers + API endpoints
- 3-hour official Kp endpoint
- Starlink TLE tracking (Celestrak)
- Docker Compose: 3 services (ml, backend, frontend/nginx)
- Single-writer DB pattern eliminating mutex contention
