Fixed: Motorsport Electronics logs with a custom channel list load at the right length

An ME442 log with a short channel list (RPM, MAP, coolant, AFR) opened with its time axis 1,000x
too short. A 31-minute log showed as 1.9 seconds. This closes #95. Thanks to @Iosy-Aloustas for
the report and the example log.

The cause was detection. UltraLog identified ME Tuner exports by ME221 channel names such as
Sync status and MAP Raw. ME Tuner logs only the channels you pick, so a short log had none of
those names. The file then loaded through the generic CSV parser, which reads a bare Time column
as milliseconds. ME Tuner writes Time in seconds.

What changed

  • ME Tuner logs are detected by the Time, Marker header. ME Tuner writes those two columns
first in every export, whatever channels you log. ME221 and ME442 logs with any channel list now
load through the Motorsport Electronics parser, with the time axis in seconds.
  • Raw and status channels have no unit. MAP Raw, Coolant temperature Raw and similar
channels are raw sensor counts. They were labelled kPa or °C, so with imperial units selected a
MAP Raw reading of 5908 showed as 857 psi. Status channels (Sync status, ALS Status) are
also shown without a unit now.
  • Coolant Temp. is shown in °C, the same as Coolant temperature.

Other formats, the GUI and the MCP server are unchanged. If you don't use a Motorsport Electronics
ECU, nothing in this release affects you.

Format details are on the
Supported ECU Formats wiki.
If an ME Tuner channel shows the wrong unit, open an issue and attach the .csv.

Installation

macOS

  1. Download the appropriate .dmg file for your Mac:

  2. Open the DMG and drag UltraLog to your Applications folder
  3. Launch UltraLog from Applications. The app is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens without a Gatekeeper warning.

Windows

  1. Download ultralog-windows.zip
  2. Extract the zip file
  3. Run ultralog-windows.exe

Linux

  1. Download ultralog-linux.tar.gz
  2. Extract: tar -xzf ultralog-linux.tar.gz
