v2.16.1
Fixed: rusEFI logs from current firmware open again
Logs from current rusEFI firmware failed to open with "Unreasonable field count: 1096". This
closes #100. Thanks to @rusefillc for the report and the example log, and to @FDSoftware for the
fix in #101.
The cause was a hard limit of 1,000 channels in the MLG parser. Current rusEFI firmware logs
1,096 channels, so every log it writes was rejected. Older rusEFI logs with fewer channels were
not affected.
What changed
- No fixed channel limit for
.mlglogs. The parser now checks the channel count against the
file itself: the channel definitions must fit before the start of the data. A damaged or
crafted file is still rejected, but a real log with any number of channels loads. The
reporter's 1,096-channel log loads all 1,096 channels and 8,053 records. - rustls 0.23.45. UltraLog uses rustls for update checks and the OpenECU Alliance spec
download. 0.23.45 fixes a medium-severity TLS 1.3 handshake bug.
Other formats, the GUI and the MCP server are unchanged.
Format details are on the
Supported ECU Formats wiki.
If a rusEFI or Speeduino log still fails to open, open an issue and attach the .mlg.
