Resolution not matching client side anymore (not trying to use portrait, tried readme solution)

I switched to Apollo for the ease of use resolution switching that Sunshine just doesn't offer. It's been great as I use it mostly as a VNC replacement to remote into my desktop primarily from my phone and occasionally play some games. However I use Moonlight on two of my iOS clients paired with my PC running the latest build of Apollo (one being an iPad that scales just fine at 4k). I typically just use the Desktop application option since it automatically handles my primary monitors windows and mirrors whatever I was previously doing on my PC's monitor scaled down to the clients resolution and back when I quit the session. For some reason this is broken now for me. Moonlight for iOS isn't perfect in anyway, but previously I would use it in conjunction with Apollo and be able to use the " 360p 720p 1080p 4k" resolutions and have it scale on my iPhone 12 mini (720p is plenty for that display but I'm running a single 4k monitor at home so this can be a pain trying to switch resolutions manually). The "Safe Area Full Custom" custom resolution options simply won't stream or decode the video and never have. I just recently discovered that my CFW N Switch also has a moonlight client and decided it would be a good idea to use it as well. I was wrong lol. Ever since I did this my resolution no longer changes when choosing anything other than Virtual Desktop. I tried uninstalling and deleting the registry entries as suggested in the readme but no dice. If there is anything more I can to do solve this problem and revert Apollo and Moonlight to the old behavior I would appreciate the time and help. Thanks.

You need to enable "Always use virtual display" on other entries. They defaults to use your current primary display. Or you can enable "Headless mode" in Audio/Video tab, that'll force every session to use virtual display(you still need to disable you physical display manually for each client)

Neither of those are quite solutions for me in my use case. Not sure if I made it clear but the behavior I'm trying to achieve is basically to mirror my monitor and change automatically change the resolution from the client side when connected to the Desktop app and back to my primary display settings when disconnecting. This is was my use case that functioned perfectly before but no longer does since using the NX Moonlight Client. Sorry for any confusion.

First configure the display settings to Extended
Second configure the virtual display to Primary
Then configure the display to Mirror

A bit weird but follow the steps should get you the desired result.

The auto changing resolution for physical display feature is very fragile and you should not rely on it.
