How to change password and username
I'm new to this world. I don't remember my login details. How can I change them or create them again?

Remove sunshine_state.json from C:\Program Files\Apollo\config, this will also remove any paired devices.

Or open sunshine_state.json, remove the password, username and salt lines, and also remove the trailing comma in the second to last line. You need to be familiar with the JSON format, if you do anything wrong, Apollo won't be able to start. This will not unpair previously paired devices.

Then restart Apollo, you'll be prompted to set your username and password again.

Hello I tried the top option but when I tried to reset Apollo after deleting the file it still ask for user and password

I have a similar problem.

When I try to log in with my credentials, it tells me they are incorrect.

When I perform the delete procedure in the sunshine_state.json file, the request to create a new user appears. When I add the user credentials, it says they were created correctly. However, when I try to log in, it appears that the user logs in correctly but fails to access and remains on the login screen.

Can we recover the password from the hashed like password shown in json, I retrieved my username but cannot understand the password, can we unsalt it to regain the old one?

Luckily I set my username and password the same hence just clicked on back of my head. But just in case it wasn't?

Hash algorithms are irreversible, so no, they cannot be recovered, until you try really hard and remembers the correct password or gets a hash collision, then you'll get the same hash.

OK, I get it. Can we implement a forgot password feature to streamline the issue.

How to verify who you are when someone clicks the forget password? And all the configurations are locally stored without encryption, if you have local access you don't even need a password to change the settings.

So the forget password feature is pretty useless, it's just the same as removing the credentials manually.

Yes thats makes sense.

Actually since it was hashed locally we cannot recover it so I thought if recover or change password helped, But again if I forget my username itself how will the system know without some hint. 🤔
