macOS install notes

This macOS build is ad-hoc signed or not Apple-notarized. To open it the first time, bypass Gatekeeper:

  • Try to launch it once, then open System Settings -> Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom, and click "Open Anyway"; or
  • Right-click Hexproof.app -> "Open" -> confirm "Open" (older macOS releases); or
  • Run xattr -cr /path/to/Hexproof.app in a terminal, then double-click.

If macOS says the app is "damaged", run the xattr command above.
