5.2.0 (2026-10-15)

馃殌 Features

  • drain: add --type option to clever drain to filter drains by recipient type (2ab3fed)
  • drain: show the recipient type in a new Type column of the clever drain table (9939653)
  • kv: make the command generally available (13abf42)
  • kv: run commands through node-redis, some outputs differ from before (see notes below) (1fbebd7)
  • logs: accept now as a value for --since and --until (e03443c)

馃悰 Bug Fixes

  • deploy: show the pushed refspec on the local commit, not the remote head (f11a7e7)
  • drain: print the app ID or name instead of [object Object] when --app targets an app without drains (63cfbff)
  • git: report unresolved commits and refs with a clear error, whichever git backend is used, and whatever the language of git (2ace81c, d094522, fa84d5b)
  • k8s: recognise UUID cluster and node group IDs (483b65c)
  • kv: print list replies one element per line (41e6882)
  • kv: refuse the commands a single connection cannot serve (897e7a9)
  • kv: warn when an integer reply may have lost precision (42fcf8a)
  • operators: rely on the API to report rolling version tags as up to date (cb15c2f)

Notes: kv output changes

clever kv now talks to the database through node-redis instead of ioredis. Replies and errors can differ from 5.1.x:

  • Replies no longer depend on the case the command was typed in: hgetall and HGETALL both print the flat ["field", "value", ...] list sent by the server.
  • ZRANGE ... WITHSCORES prints nested [member, score] pairs with numeric scores. An inf score prints Infinity (null with --format json).
  • Integers outside the safe range may be rounded (INCR on 9223372036854775806 prints 9223372036854776000). A warning is now printed on stderr.
  • A write is never sent twice: if the connection drops, the command fails with an error, check whether it landed before retrying.
  • Errors no longer include the arguments sent, and debug output (CLEVER_VERBOSE) only shows the command name, never its arguments or replies.
