- The widescreen 3D picture takes about half the processor time it did. It is
drawn several pixels at a time (SIMD: AVX2 or SSE on PCs, NEON on phones), and
its working memory now stays in the processor's cache. On PCs it also uses fewer
threads (about one per core), which leaves more room for the game itself. The
picture is the same, apart from the odd pixel along the edge of a polygon. - The widescreen battle view looks for the stats window in one pass instead of four.
