Clinimatix Caravel 26.1 brings expressive application APIs and integrated tooling to native .NET 10 foundations. This first release candidate settles the documented 26.1 scope for prerelease evaluation and integration.

Included

  • Core configuration and service providers, ASP.NET Core routing and HTTP defaults, and Bosun Razor/API starters and development/data tooling.
  • Clarion data access over EF Core with SQL Server, PostgreSQL and SQLite.
  • Native Identity account endpoints for registration, email confirmation, password recovery and authenticator-app MFA/recovery codes; Windows authentication and OIDC/bearer recipes.
  • In-process events, durable queues with bounded renewable leases and retries, transactional outbox dispatch, fixed-interval scheduling and local storage.
  • Transactional SMTP mail, templates, attachments and capture, plus replaceable mail/SMS notification channels and a Twilio adapter.

Install

Requires .NET 10. Download Clinimatix.Caravel.26.1.0-rc1.packages.zip, verify its SHA-256 using SHA256SUMS.txt, and extract the intact .nupkg files into a local package feed. Follow the package installation guide. All 12 packages share 26.1.0-rc1; pin that exact version. Packages are not published to nuget.org.

Verification

The release commit is qualified by the Windows, Linux, macOS and server-provider checkpoint, including source tests, installed CLI/generated apps, packaged services/accounts, migration upgrade/rollback and worker recovery. SQL Server 2022, PostgreSQL 18 and SQLite use synthetic test data. This does not certify a particular deployment or third-party message delivery.

Adoption and limitations

This is a prerelease, not stable 26.1. Keep a rollback plan and report reproducible problems through GitHub issues; use private vulnerability reporting for security findings.

  • No automatic migration from the earlier .NET 9 prototype. The CLI is caravel; package IDs are Clinimatix.Caravel.* and C# namespaces remain Caravel.*.
  • Registration is opt-in. Account UI and passkeys are future work. SMS delivery is not SMS MFA.
  • Applications explicitly migrate the optional outbox; existing queue tables are unchanged. Outbox/queue dispatch does not make external side effects exactly once.
  • Mail/SMS verification uses automated protocol tests, not live recipient delivery. Configure and verify the chosen provider before use.
  • MariaDB awaits an EF Core 10-compatible upstream Pomelo provider. Azure SQL deployments and IIS/Windows Service/domain-authentication environments need application-specific verification.
  • Linux/macOS local storage requires hard-link support. Calendar/time-zone schedules, cloud storage drivers, more notification providers and AI/MCP packages remain future work.
