What's New

  • Clips open faster from the Library. H.264 clips now decode on your GPU once ClypDat has checked they are safe to, opening audio loads in one pass, and tiles you only pass over with the mouse no longer start loading.
  • Advanced settings: choose an NVIDIA NVENC encoder preset (P1-P5) and set the audio bitrate for saved clips and Full Session recordings.
  • Storage usage now shows ClypDat clips, Medal imports and SteelSeries imports separately.
  • Helldivers 2 killstreak clips now start at ×30 instead of ×20.
  • The running-game picker in Game Detection now says "Click to select a game", or tells you to start the game and press Refresh when nothing new is open.

Fixes

  • Fixed "The GPU compositor rejected an editor update" appearing when you hovered or reopened the clip you last had open in the editor.
  • Fixed grey or ghosted video after seeking near the end of a clip.
  • Fixed a black flash at the end of a clip in the editor.
  • Fixed editor audio skipping forward when resuming playback.
  • Fixed the playhead jumping when pausing, and starting to move before playback actually resumed.
  • Moving the trim end while a clip plays now pauses playback there.
  • Clicking the video works again after leaving fullscreen.
  • The fullscreen playback bar now follows your theme.
  • Older or partly damaged clips now get timeline thumbnails instead of none.
  • Helldivers 2: the orange kill-streak skull is no longer read as the counter disappearing, and the final kill counts when it only shows briefly before the HUD fades.
  • ClypDat no longer crops its taskbar preview to the video area.
  • The timeline no longer shows the same time twice at its end.
  • Fixed storage colours and some background tasks that could crash.
  • The crash report in a diagnostics export is now readable in Notepad, and only includes ClypDat's own crashes.
  • Losing your internet connection no longer fills the log with errors.
