UI ‐ Workspaces

A workspace is where you will work on all the files in a project. Whenever you open a file from the Project Explorer, it will open into the current active workspace. Each workspace can hold any amount of files and can be customized.

Additional workspaces can be added in the Window menu

And will appear as a new tab alongside the rest of them

Open files/tabs can be sent to other workspaces by right-click on the tab and using "Move to Workspace"

Organizing and Resizing

When you open a file from Project Explorer, it will automatically open into the current active pane as a new tab alongside the other open files, like so:

Files can split into new panes by dragging them around.

And each pane can be individually resized. Maybe don't create too many though unless you're working on a large screen, otherwise things get cramped!

Now when you open a file from the explorer and you have multiple panes open, the file will appear in the pane with a matching file type. If there's no match found, the file will open into the current active pane.
