Fixed

  • Starting an instance with Steam's Play button now works when Valheim runs in Steam Linux Runtime: in 0.7.0 the game didn't start at all. Vanilla wasn't affected.
  • With Proton forced for Valheim, Steam's Play button starts the game as Steam would instead of failing (LaunchHeim's mods need the Linux version of the game).
  • launchheim steam %command% typed into a terminal explains that the line belongs in Valheim's launch options instead of crashing.

Windows 10/11, portable LaunchHeim-0.7.1-win-x64.zip unzip anywhere, run LaunchHeim.exe
Arch, CachyOS launchheim-git-*.pkg.tar.zst download it, then sudo pacman -U ./<file>
Debian 13, Ubuntu 24.04+ launchheim_0.7.1-1_amd64.deb sudo apt install ./<file>
Fedora, RHEL 9/10 (EPEL) launchheim-0.7.1-1.x86_64.rpm sudo dnf install ./<file>
Android 8+ (companion app) LaunchHeimCompanion-0.7.1.apk open it on the phone and allow installing from that app

The Windows setup, LaunchHeim.exe and LaunchHeim's own DLLs are signed by CN=CodeIsNotEvil, certificate
thumbprint 284F5384B189984492629622EDC4A40646C5D8F6. The certificate is self-signed, so Windows still
calls the publisher unknown; the thumbprint is what shows the files are ours and unchanged.

The Linux packages aren't signed, so pacman -U <url> fails looking for a .sig; install the downloaded file.
Check a download with sha256sum -c --ignore-missing and these lines:
