The Fungus Update (v2.0) for Minecraft 1.21.2/1.21.3

This is a backport of v2.0 for Minecraft 1.21.2 and 1.21.3. Release notes have been updated accordingly.

Mushroom Blocks

You can now acquire red and brown mushroom blocks from putting four of the corresponding mushroom type in a 2x2 grid. A single mushroom block will yield 4 individual mushrooms.

You can also acquire a mushroom stem from 2 mushrooms of each type, alternatingly in a 2x2 grid.

Banners

Added recipes for the three new banner patterns:

• Flow Banner Pattern = Nautilus Shell + Paper
• Guster Banner Pattern = Breeze Rod + Paper
• Snout Banner Pattern = Piglin Head + Paper

Expanded Cultivation:

You can now cultivate the following with podzol and bonemeal:

• Big dripleaf
• Small dripleaf
• Cactus
• Torchflower
• Pitcher plant
• Azalea
• Flowering azalea
• Cherry sapling
• Mangrove propagule

Other New Recipes

• Crying obsidian, made from obsidian and two ghast tears.
• Dead bush, made from five sticks arranged in an X.
• Slime ball, made from smelting magma cream.
• Leather, made from smelting rotten flesh.

Updated Recipes

• Bell recipe now uses one string between the two sticks, instead of three sticks.
• Leather now made from cactus and poppy, as the bamboo recipe now collides.
• Name tag recipe now yields 3 name tags.
• Cobweb recipe now yields 3 cobwebs.

What About Earlier Versions of Minecraft?

Unfortunately, to avoid the strain of maintaining two entirely different formats of recipe, we won't be supporting prior versions in v5.0 and onward.
