Hermes Mobile 0.2.1

A mobile control surface for an existing Hermes Desktop install, over your own Tailscale
network. It is an extension of the installation you already run — not a second agent, and not
a second control plane.

New in 0.2.1

  • New Bot is now a menu, with two options stacked above it: New Chat and New Bot.
  • New Chat — start a fresh conversation with a Bot you already have. This exists because a
    Bot's Chat accumulates history until it fills, and there was previously no way to start clean.
    It behaves like any other conversation: it appears in Sessions and reaches the Desktop. The
    same action as right-clicking a Bot on the Desktop and choosing new chat with this bot.
  • The New Chat screen uses the app's standard back control, and its header control is centred.
  • The New Group sheet's description no longer sits flush against the header rule.
  • Release builds no longer prompt for the keystore path or alias — straight to the passwords.

Also in 0.2.x

  • Group chats — 2–6 Bots deliberate together in one room, listed alongside Bot chats rather
    than in a section of their own. Each reply carries its speaker.
  • Wide workspace — a three-column layout on tablets and unfolded foldables: Bots, the
    conversation, and the Bot's computer and routines. Drag the dividers to resize, click one to
    collapse its column, and a visible tab brings a collapsed column back.
  • Bot screen — watch and take over a Bot's screen from the phone.
  • Notifications — announced at the moment they can actually be shown.
  • Capabilities — installed Skills and Toolsets per Bot, with a Skill Hub for installing more.
  • Per-Bot About/SOUL editing, avatars, model defaults, routines and Tasks.
  • Motion and polish — swipe-back gesture with Android system-Back parity, Apple-style
    loading states, pull-to-refresh, and no desktop scrollbar chrome on mobile surfaces.

Security

  • Pairing is Tailscale-only and in-app. Pairing credentials live in Android Keystore / iOS
    Keychain and are never logged or written to ordinary storage.
  • A credential this device cannot decrypt — after a phone-to-phone transfer or a backup/restore
    — is cleared and re-prompted, instead of leaving the app wedged with no way back.

Install

Run Hermes Desktop and the host gateway first, then install and pair.

    Mobile upload key).
