WALI brings live and still wallpapers to macOS with a native library and an
online catalog. This direct-download edition uses email codes for sign-in.

• Browse the catalog by category, search, newest and popularity. Discover can
  follow your selected interests, saves and completed installations.
• Save catalog items to your account and download verified wallpapers into
  your local library. Download totals update after successful installation.
• Publish licensed live wallpapers from Creator Studio after accepting the
  current terms and supplying rights and credits. Processing and publication
  continue with the app closed; failed processing can retry the retained source.
• Import supported still images and videos locally, apply wallpapers per
  display, and preserve your library and assignments across restarts.
• The saved library follows the native grid design, and playback status now
  explains Low Power Mode and thermal pauses accurately.

Requires macOS15 or later. The universal application supports Apple silicon
and Intel Macs. Use the signed disk image to drag WALI into Applications, or
extract the ZIP. Both packages include the same application.

Public Creator currently accepts supported MP4 and MOV live wallpapers.
Still-image imports are available locally; hosted still-image publication is
not enabled in this release. Native Sign in with Apple belongs to the separate
Store edition. This GitHub release is not an App Store submission.

Initial catalog media is provided under the owner's paid redistribution
agreement with Wallsflow and the publisher. Individual listings retain their
source and supplied creator credits; no original creator is invented.

WALI 0.1.0 beta 3 fixes misleading marketplace availability messages.

• Discover now shows the empty-catalog message when there are no published wallpapers, instead of bare Trending and New headings.
• Creator Studio distinguishes signing in, loading, failed requests with retry, and publishing that has not been enabled. Signed-in users are no longer incorrectly told to sign in again.
• Includes beta 2's email sign-in and Account profile repairs.

This build uses the production backend. The public catalog currently has no published wallpapers, and public creator uploads are not enabled. This update clarifies those states; it does not activate publishing or add catalog content. Direct distribution continues to use email-code sign-in.

Download the notarized macOS DMG or ZIP. This is a prerelease. Production setup and App Store submission remain separate work.

This hotfix repairs production email sign-in and Account loading.

• Fixes “Sign-in couldn’t be completed” after a valid email code when no prior Keychain session exists.
• Fixes “Account details could not be loaded” before the production catalog is configured. The matching server repair is deployed.
• Keeps the existing account and credential namespace; no account migration is required.

Verified using real delivered email codes in the signed production app: successful sign-in, Account profile loading, full quit/relaunch, and persisted sign-out.

The GitHub edition currently uses email codes. Browser Apple sign-in is not included in this hotfix. Production marketplace rollout remains incomplete: the catalog is empty, catalog trust initialization is pending, and marketplace downloads and creator processing are not ready for general use. Local video import and wallpaper use require no account.

This remains an early prerelease for macOS 15 and newer. Broader account export/deletion, media processing, recovery, Intel hardware, compatibility, and legal acceptance remain incomplete; this is not an App Store release.

Open the DMG, drag WALI into Applications, and open it. When replacing an older local build, first turn off its Lock Screen continuity and fully quit it. Older development libraries are not migrated automatically; keep your original videos. Use only media you have permission to use.

Optional Lock Screen continuity remains experimental and restricted to macOS builds 25F80 and 25G83. Only WALI Lock Screen Helper needs Full Disk Access for that optional feature. It does not support FileVault startup or pre-sign-in playback.

An early prerelease of WALI, a native video-wallpaper app for macOS 15 and newer.

• Import your own videos, prepare silent playback versions, and assign wallpapers per display.
• Keep wallpapers running when the library window closes, with playback controls in the menu bar and configurable low-power behavior.
• Updated WALI branding across the app, menu bar, and drag-to-Applications DMG installer.
• Optional account sign-in using one-time email codes through WALI’s production service. Local wallpaper use requires no account.

This build is configured for WALI’s production Supabase service. Marketplace rollout is still incomplete: the catalog is empty, catalog trust initialization is pending, and the media worker is currently stopped. Marketplace browsing, downloads, and creator processing are not ready for general use. Local video import and wallpaper playback are available without an account.

Native account lifecycle, production media processing, recovery exercises, and final legal review remain incomplete. This prerelease is for early evaluation; it does not represent App Store approval or completed marketplace acceptance.

Optional Lock Screen continuity is experimental and currently restricted to macOS builds 25F80 and 25G83. It uses the main display’s wallpaper for the current signed-in session, with an independent playback timeline. Only WALI Lock Screen Helper needs Full Disk Access for this feature. It does not appear at FileVault startup or before sign-in, and macOS updates can make it unavailable.

To install, open the DMG, drag WALI into Applications, then open it and import a video you have permission to use. Use Quit in WALI’s menu bar to stop background playback.

When switching from an older local build, first turn off Lock Screen continuity, save the change in that build, and fully quit it. Older development and prerelease libraries are not migrated automatically; keep your original videos. Intel hardware validation and the broader sleep/wake, display, and Lock Screen compatibility matrix remain incomplete.

Report reproducible bugs through GitHub Issues, including your Mac model, macOS version/build, and reproduction steps. Keep credentials and private media out of public reports.
