earlyHitWindow in Note.hx being anything below 1 by default is a really bad design flaw. #1004

iirc that was an old bandaid fix base game tried to do? but in modern day when your input system isn't that of pre-weekend one, it is NOTHING but bad game design.

the judgement detection on a rhythm game shouldn't be ignoring the bad period under any circumstance.
it isn't improving on a prevalent issue, it's just unnecessary hand holding. it tells a player that there's no point in getting better at timing, and risks making their skill level stagnant. no other VSRG does this.

back in 2021, the early window being cut down or even just not existing was solely treated as a problem with the game that engine devs realized part-way into that year, and started making sure to fix. i highly suggest you do the same.

and for the record, "the player can just not mash" isn't an actual excuse for this. the rhythm based video game should not intentionally respond to you taking the unnatural easy way out (in this case, mashing) by letting it slide.
for a VSRG like funkin, mashing should naturally result in getting you a "bad" or "shit" judgement. you pressed the button far too early in the judge window. logically, the game should be reacting to that and scoring you appropriately.
