Installing extensions

In this short guide is explained how to install a extension to the YouTube Music Desktop app.

1. Find the extension you want, and copy the URL to the extension

Example:

The URL would be https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/youtube-nonstop/nlkaejimjacpillmajjnopmpbkbnocid

2. Go to https://www.crxextract.com/ and paste the extension URL there, after which press "Download", a crx file will be downloaded

3. Still on https://www.crxextract.com/ in the second box, upload the downloaded crx file, a zip file will be downloaded next

4. In Windows Explorer, go to your Downloads directory and find the downloaded zip file

5. Right click and unzip the file

The following directory will be created:

6. Open YouTube Music Desktop, right click the titlebar (or the system tray icon) and access the settings menu

7. Click the "Browse extensions..." directory, this will open a folder in Windows Explorer with all the extension the app has

8. Move the folder you unzipped in the Downloads folder to this folder

9. Exit the app from the system tray (or restart your computer)

10. Done!
