OptPrep 1.0.1

@Coflazo Coflazo released this 02 Oct 21:44

A polish release. Open it at coflazo.github.io/optprep, or run npx optprep (Node 20 or newer). Your saved progress carries over.

What changed

  • An exam result reads like a graded sheet: each row marked, the net score printed in the corner box.
  • Lesson checks lead with the question, keep Check and Hint on one row, and list what they use as a footnote.
  • Exponents print as superscripts in questions, options and solutions, and counts agree: "exactly 1 head", "1 tail then a head".
  • Plot labels stay inside the frame and no longer overlap.
  • Quieter frames: answer fields use a pale print of the form ink, corners are 6px, and the sidebar stripe is gone.
  • Text and number inputs now have a 3:1 border against the page.

Also new

  • DESIGN.md documents the design system.
  • The README shows the app in light, dark and on a phone.

OptPrep in 22 seconds

What you get

  • Every task on its real clock: 80-in-8, Beat the Odds, NumberLogic, Likelihood List, Intervals, Orderbooks and nine Zap-N games, with exam replicas matched to the battery you sit.
  • A lesson for every question type, in short steps with a question after each one.
  • A worked solution for every answer: the question restated, a picture, the steps, the shortcut you can use inside the time limit, and a sanity check.
  • A roadmap for each task with five levels per skill, a daily goal, and a list of the patterns that keep costing you points.
  • A market-making round for the interviews that come after the online assessment.
  • It runs offline and installs as an app on desktop and phone. Your progress stays on your device; sync to a private gist in your own GitHub account is optional.

How it was checked

  • 3,094 library questions re-solved by an independent C++ and Python pipeline: 0 failures. 607 Zap-N game instances re-solved: 0 mismatches.
  • 738 JavaScript, 19 Python and 34 C++ tests pass on Linux, macOS and Windows.
  • Lighthouse on the live site: 99 performance, 100 accessibility, 100 best practices, 100 SEO.

Good to know

  • Optiver publishes no pass marks. The Ready mark means your recent exam replicas met OptPrep's own bar, which sits above what candidates report.
  • If your online assessment looked different, open a format report and the next release will match it.
