What's new

scaffy upgrade

Upgrade existing scaffolds to the latest templates without losing your customizations:

scaffy --upgrade [--path PATH] [--force] [--dry-run]

Reads project.yaml to recover original settings, adds missing directories and files, and skips anything you've already customized (unless --force).

SAVE SESSION protocol

Mid-session checkpoint — writes a numbered session summary and updates the kanban board without ending the session. Recoverable if the session is interrupted unexpectedly.

Supporting artifacts directory

New .collab/supporting-artifacts/ for project-adjacent materials (diagrams, specs, research notes) — keeps the project root clean for actual code.

GUI improvements

  • Confirmation popup — preview all planned files before building, with "No" / "Yes, Build!" buttons
  • House icon — replaces the default tkinter feather

Other

  • governance: none mode added
  • Initial-prompt templates slimmed to ~5 lines (protocols live in collab-contract.md)
  • Python 3.9+ version guard (clean error instead of cryptic ImportError)
  • scaffy-example/ now auto-refreshes via GitHub Actions on every push to main
