comfyUI-Manager is not showing up any more

I did a completely clean install. ( I had to do a clean install because last update of comfyUI screwed something up so absolutely nothing worked. )
I can see in the terminal, it' has been installed:
I can also see messages like:

What I don't see, is ComfyUI-Manager in the UI (127....)

I look into ComfyUI/custom_nodes/ and there is no ComfyUI-Manager directory.
OK, so I do the git install and the directory is there now. Nice.

I restart the gomfyUI... reload the UI in my web browser and it's nowhere to be found.
What's really irritating, is that it worked fine just 2 days ago.

Here is a super simple solution.
If you had followed instructions how to install the "legacy" version (one that's useful) , you need to remove the new pip version.
To disable the new integrated manager (practically useless) just remove it while in comfy-env:

pip uninstall comfyui-manager

Restart the sever, reload the 127.0... web page and you are done.

Why do you feel the new v4.1 integrated manager is useless? It is basically identical to custom_nodes version. If you run comfy with "--enable-manager --enable-manager-legacy-ui" parameters the interface is exactly like the old one. Can you clarify what you mean by useless, I'm genuinely curious what is so different that you find it useless.

Lets say you have several missing nodes and models.

1. There is no way to download models
2. Same seems to happen with nodes too.
3. When you uninstall a node, text show something like its installed and ready to use.
4. There is no way to restart the comfui server.
5. Nodes with no image/logo(?) are painted red - like there was something wrong/broken :)

...and few other things I cant recall right now. Me talking about it here is just a waste of everyone's time. It is what it is and I'll use it. Issue closed. Thanks for you time.

When you pass the parameters I specified above, the interface looks exactly like the old one. Just select install missing nodes and it will do so, the models are also there under "Model Manager" nothing has changed from the previous interface. Then the restart button appears at the bottom. It is the same exact interface. Maybe you did not try the --enable-manager-legacy-ui second parameter and are looking at the new interface which I personally don't like either... Try it with both parameters, then select "Extensions" instead of "manager" on the top horizontal bar, it just moved to the left now and called "Extensions".

If I'm misunderstanding you or this is not what you are referring to, please clarify.
Its always good to discuss the things we like or not like else the community would not achieve the amazing stuff we have now.

(you can remove the visual studio bat call line, I have that set to be able to compile stuff when needed from comfy)
(It also has a check for a dead or detached ComfyUI instance on same port, so you don't start 2 copies by accident etc)
