Expected Behavior

When clicking "Download" or "Download All" for missing models, ComfyUI Desktop should automatically download the required models into the appropriate model directories and display download progress within the application.

Actual Behavior

When clicking "Download" or "Download All", ComfyUI Desktop opens a standard Windows "Save As" dialog asking where to save the file. The model is not downloaded automatically into the ComfyUI model folders, and the download process is not visible or managed within the application.

Steps to Reproduce

1-Install ComfyUI Desktop 1.0.2 on Windows 11.
2-Open a workflow that contains missing models (e.g. LTX Video).
3-Open the Missing Models panel.
4-Click "Download" or "Download All".
5-Observe that a Windows "Save As" dialog appears instead of ComfyUI automatically downloading and placing the models in the correct directories.

Debug Logs

No relevant logs available. No error message is shown. The issue occurs consistently every time.

Other

I performed a clean reinstall of ComfyUI Desktop and tested using a fresh installation. The behavior remains the same. In previous installations, missing models were downloaded automatically and download progress was visible inside ComfyUI.

The recording shows the complete process. When I click "Download" or "Download All" for missing models, ComfyUI Desktop opens a Windows "Save As" dialog instead of downloading the model automatically into the appropriate model directory.

This behavior occurs consistently on a clean installation of ComfyUI Desktop 1.0.2 on Windows 11.

Please let me know if you need any additional information, logs, or testing.

Just curious: is your ComfyUI Desktop installed on the default C: drive or on another drive (e.g. D:)?

Also, is there a ComfyUI folder in your Documents directory?

I'm trying to determine whether this issue is related to the installation path.

Based on what we've seen so far, I suspect this may be related to a recent update rather than the installation drive, since we're both experiencing the same behavior and your installation is on C:.

I'm currently away from my PC, but I'll be back home in about two days. At that point, I plan to install an older version of ComfyUI Desktop and test whether the issue is present there as well.

I'll share the results here once I've tested it.

@wei01127 Unfortunately, it was still the same when I last checked. I'll try again tomorrow and share the result here.Many people are experiencing the same error; I think there's a Windows incompatibility with the latest version. I didn't have this problem in the previous version.

I'd like to verify whether this issue was introduced in a recent update, but the older installers no longer seem to be available.
