Collapsed nodes with string inputs - fields no longer exposed on Subgraph widgets #10117

Description

@altoiddealer

Prerequisites

  • I am running the latest version of ComfyUI
  • I have custom nodes enabled

What happened?

Hello, I frequently update my ComfyUI.

I haven't updated in a few days - but I can see that this change just recently occurred.

Within a subgraph, you can link an input to a text field such as the text field in the Clip Text Encode node, or String (multiline) node, etc.

  • Until a very recent update, that node within the subgraph could be collapsed and the text field would still be exposed outside the subgraph view, in the Subgraph widget.
  • Now, there is no text input if the node is collapsed within the subgraph.
  • If the node is expanded within the subgraph, the text box does display in the subgraph widget.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Connect a subgraph input to a Node's text field input
  2. Check the subgraph widget - text box is there
  3. Go back into the subgraph view and collapse that node
  4. Check the subgraph widget - text box is no longer there

How is this affecting you?
