macOS Tahoe Legacy Patcher — Beta Release

We're excited to share this beta release of macOS Tahoe Legacy Patcher, a project focused on bringing macOS Tahoe to unsupported Mac hardware.

This release represents a major development milestone, with approximately 99% of tested functionality working as expected. While the project has reached a high level of functionality, it is still actively being developed and tested.

🔧 Ongoing Development

Welcome to Beta 2! This release introduces an uninstaller and continues development focused on compatibility, reliability, and the overall user experience.

• Uninstaller Added: The uninstaller is now available in the release assets to help remove patcher components.
• Ongoing Improvements: Development continues toward better stability, compatibility, and performance.

🗑️ Uninstaller Instructions

The uninstaller does not automatically revert patches already applied to macOS. If you want to revert your installed patches, you must do so separately before using the uninstaller.

Back up your important data before making changes to your system.

⚠️ Known Issues

• Touch ID: Touch ID is currently not working.
• Apple T2 Security Chip: Macs equipped with the Apple T2 Security Chip are currently unsupported.
• Additional Issues: Other bugs or compatibility problems may exist that have not yet been identified.

🧪 Beta Disclaimer

macOS Tahoe Legacy Patcher is experimental software and is still under active development. Although testing has shown promising results on tested configurations, compatibility and functionality are not guaranteed on every Mac model.

macOS Tahoe Legacy Patcher Beta 1.5 — T2 Compatibility Notice

We're releasing macOS Tahoe Legacy Patcher Beta 1.5, a minor update focused on clarifying hardware compatibility and documenting an important limitation of the current beta.

This release continues the development of our independent OpenCore Legacy Patcher fork, with ongoing efforts to improve the macOS Tahoe experience on supported test hardware.

🔄 What's Changed

• T2 Mac compatibility clarification: Macs equipped with Apple's T2 Security Chip are not currently supported by this beta.
• Updated release documentation: Compatibility limitations and known issues have been clarified to help users understand the current state of the project.
